How to add Smartphone Data Security

Smartphone data security is essential in other to prevent data theft, which can occur in two ways, viz; online and offline data theft. The steps are:

1. Through your App Store, install CM Security App and scan your phone with it. This is to check, if your have any vulnerable installed App in your phone. Reset the App through the SETTING by activating these;

  • Website Real-Time Protection
  • Website-Protection and other features.

2. Open your default browser, tap setting > Privacy and Security, then ‘check or tick’ Accept Cookies, Show Security Warnings, and Clear Passwords.


3. Before connecting to browsing, click the phone setting > Accessibility, then make sure no App has “switch-on” accessibility.

4. If you are prompted for any website username and password saving, do not save any as you are browsing.

5. Anytime you finished browsing, scan the phone with CM Security in order to clean your browsing history and other activities. This is to prevent your phone from saving browsing-history.

6. If the internet browsing App has ‘incognito’ feature, you can turn-it ‘ON’, whenever you are browsing. By incognito feature, which functions as browsing safe-mode, you automatically switched your browsing mode to ‘PRIVATE’, thereby preventing the browser not to keep your browsing history.


7. If you phone is fault of “auto-switch-on data connection”, use the CM Security App-Lock feature, and lock it, in order to control the auto-switch-on.

8. The above process is for Anti-internet data theft, however, for offline data theft, password or lock your Phone with screen lock to avoid intruders.
