How to analyze the Quality of Smartphone

The quality of a Smartphone does not depend on brand, OS (Operating System) or manufacturer as we normally say ‘Samsung Galaxy, Android or Apple-phones, but on few essential features, which some of them may be or not in some phones irrespective of brand or OS. So one essential use of Smartphone is that it serves as a mobile office or laptop. One can do a lot of things with it, but depending on type. So in buying a Smartphone, we need to consider the type of network it runs, colour display, storage device size, OS, processor, RAM, camera, and battery.

1. Network: It measures the speediness of internet network. We have 2G, 3G and 4G.
-3G—Better
-4G—Best
-2G—Avoid

2. Colour Display: It rates the colour display strength. For type;
-TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16,000,000 colors-Better
-TFT capacitive touchscreen with above 16,000,000 colours

For Pixel size;
-233 pixels per inch (PPI)—Better
-Above 233 pixels per inch (PPI)–Best

3. Storage Device: It measures the storage capacity of the phones.
-4GB Internal Memory—Better
-Above 4GB—Best
-Below 4GB—Avoid
Note: Do not buy Smartphone whose “select storage place” does not function.

4. Operating System (OS): This is program software written instruction that direct computer, including Smartphone on how to carry out all its operational activities. Examples, iOS owns by Apple Inc., Android owns by Google, Bada owns by Samsung, Windows by Microsoft Inc., and BlackBerry OS owned by RIM. Although, choosing OS should be of choice. For instance, some like Android, while some like iOS, which is used in producing iPhones, but it is always good to buy a higher version. For example, we have Android 5 for Lollipop, 6 for Marshmallow and 7 for Nougat.

5. Processors: The processing speed of computer, include smartphones are measured in hertz. The GHz simple means Giga-hertz.
-1.2GHz—Better
-2.4GHz or Above—Best

6. RAM (Random Access Memory): RAM is the storage activity place of computer, including Smartphone. How well installed Apps can function on a particular Smartphone is depending on the size of in-built RAM. It is one of the most essential to be considered, when buying Smartphone.
-1GHz—Good
-2GHz—Better
-4GHz and Above—Best

7. Battery: There are four types of batteries use by Smartphones depending Manufacturer. So those who use their phone always need lasting battery in other to avoid frequent charging and often battery-flat. I rated them serially as they are:

1) Lithium Ion
2) Lithium Polymer
3) Nickel Cadmium
4) Nickel Metal Hydride

Note: Any Smartphone that has our mentioned features will as well as other simple features like Bluetooth, WIFI hotspot or/and direct, GPS, USB, Media-Player, Sensors, Messaging, Browser, etc. So don’t worry about them.

Conclusion
You cannot see a Smartphone that will give you all the best features that we listed above. So you need to prioritize the best features based on the type of phone and what you actually need to do with the Smartphone.

For me, if I need to purchase a Smartphone based on the current Smartphones as of when I published this article, my priority will be;

1) Operating System—-Android 6 or 7, alternatively, iOS 8 to 10
2) RAM——————-minimum of 2G
3) Processor————–minimum of 2GHz
4) Battery—————-Lithium Ion (minimum of 2000mAh)
